Developed from cattle native to the Scottish counties of Aberdeenshire and Angus, the breed has been recorded since the 16th century and holds links back to where the tradition of beef breeding started. It is no surprise therefore, that it has become one of Britain’s favourite native beef breeds.

Predominantly grazing on England’s rural counties of Yorkshire, Somerset and Devon, our hand-selected Aberdeen Angus are reared on natural, rolling pastures under the watchful eye of our trusted farmers. Their commitment to the animals’ welfare and our fully traceable supply chain ensures the end consumer can be confident that their beef has been reared to the highest standards on family farms under the most stringent requirements.

Our investment into research and development of the agricultural industry has enabled us to hold considerable supply chain data from calf to processing, enabling us to track each animal, right back to place of origin. This unique ability allows us to be selective throughout the chain and work with only the most committed farmers.

All our meat is hand-selected as per customer specification in addition to offering weekly dry aging to meet specific requirements. Aberdeen Angus by Buitelaar is currently served internationally and domestically at Michelin starred restaurants, high end retailers and prestigious hotels.

Products are produced at BRC audited Woodheads and is endorsed by the Quality Standard Mark of the Agriculture Horticulture Development Board. We supply all cuts, either bone in or boneless and all offal.
