Michael joins Buitelaar following a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, including the last eight years serving as Chief Operations Officer and Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer within the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. His depth of knowledge, spanning veterinary science, regulatory affairs, and animal health policy, makes him uniquely positioned to support Buitelaar’s ambition to set new standards in responsible and future-facing farming.

Michael’s appointment is not only a significant addition to our leadership team but a clear signal of our long-term investment in raising the bar for animal welfare and transparency across the industry.
