From animals typically over twelve months and under fourteen months of age. The stringent higher welfare specifications and rearing techniques on the compassionate farms we work with, have led us to win prestigious industry awards, including the Compassion in World Farming Good Calf Award in 2019.

A uniform feeding plan across the chain, creates remarkable consistency that Buitelaar Select Beef has become renowned for. Many of our cattle are fed in the traditional arable areas of the East of England with much of the grain-fed diet harvested from the family farms the cattle are reared on.

Our fully traceable supply chain has enabled us to extensively monitor livestock health patterns throughout the animal lifecycle, ensuring an excellent, quality end product with key higher welfare assurance for the end consumer.

Our Supply

As a business with family values at its core, our focus continues to be on promoting and maintaining long term sustainable relationships, supporting the family farmer and the wider rural communities.

All of our beef is sourced with the consumers’ needs in mind and can be found in supermarkets, foodservice and multiple restaurant and pub chains.

We offer all cuts bone in and boneless and all offal. Our products are produced at BRC audited Woodheads and endorsed by the Quality Standard Mark of the Agriculture Horticulture Development Board from Red Tractor Approved Farms.
