Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Marketing Insights Lead to join our growing Commercial Team in Harrogate.

The role of Category Marketing Lead

This is an exciting, commercially focussed Marketing Insights Lead opportunity. Reporting to our Business Unit Manager, you will own the commercial marketing strategy across our key product categories.

Through qualitative and quantitative data gathering, analysis and insight, knowing our customers better than anyone else, you will shape the go-to-market strategy. As the custodian of go-to-market planning and insight, you will drive category and product awareness. Working in partnership with our cross functional Marketing and Commercial Teams.

Delivering campaigns, launches, tradeshows and category strategies that deliver against commercial profit, revenue and market share targets, establishing Buitelaar as the partner of choice for the exciting, growing global community of pet owners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate both marketing and category projects working collaboratively with the group Marketing Team
  • Working with relevant Account Managers to support strategic objectives with our customers
  • Review the results of marketing initiatives to understand their effectiveness and return on investment
  • Utilise category data to build compelling category selling stories, shaping customers thinking and ultimately enabling sales growth

Desirables

  • Category Marketing background with a commercial focus
  • FMCG or Pet Food industry experience
  • Examples of successful go to marketing planning and implementation
  • Able to analyse data to gain insight and develop into strategic plans
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • An understanding of sales and how retail organisations operate
  • A strategic thinker, able to lead projects and a team player
  • Good communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
