Embedded within Project Regen, is an incentive to utilise home grown or locally sourced feed. To remain adaptive, when this is not feasible for a family farm, we instead encourage the use of by-product feedstuffs to upcycle nutrients which would otherwise be wasted, and unfit for human consumption.

Buitelaar Group's Long Lane Development Farm is equipped to monitor and track detailed metrics, including shed temperatures, lung scans, and feed conversion rates, ensuring data-driven insights to support continuous improvement. This helps us to select the best pool of genetics to produce healthy calves, which require fewer inputs.

Designed using over 50 years of calf rearing experience, Buitelaar High Health Units (HHUs) are a flexible, high-performance calf housing system developed from real on-farm use. Designed to regulate temperature & humidity, decreasing antimicrobial intervention.
