SIAL Paris 2026: Strengthening Partnerships and Building Confidence in Beef Supply
Following another successful SIAL Paris, Buitelaar Group reflects on the importance of strong partnerships, consistent quality and dependable supply in an evolving European beef market.
Connecting with the Global Food Industry
SIAL Paris 2026 has once again provided a valuable opportunity for Buitelaar Group to connect with customers, suppliers and industry partners from across the international food sector.
Exhibiting alongside the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), colleagues from across our European businesses came together to showcase our beef offering, strengthen existing relationships and explore new commercial opportunities.
As one of the world's leading food industry exhibitions, SIAL brings together businesses from across the supply chain, creating an important platform for conversations about the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of food production.
For Buitelaar Group, it was an opportunity not only to showcase our products, but also to demonstrate the people, partnerships and integrated supply chain behind them.
Responding to an Evolving Beef Market
The European beef industry continues to navigate changing market dynamics, supply pressures and evolving customer expectations.
In this environment, the importance of quality, consistency, traceability and dependable supply remains fundamental.
Customers increasingly need confidence not only in the products they purchase, but also in the businesses and supply chains behind them. Understanding where beef comes from, how it is produced and the standards maintained throughout the supply chain continues to be an important part of commercial decision-making.
At Buitelaar Group, our approach is built around connecting livestock production with the needs of our customers.
Through our own farming operations, established farming partnerships and end-to-end integrated supply chain, we work to provide the visibility, consistency and long-term relationships that our customers depend on.
This integrated approach allows us to maintain close connections across different stages of production, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality beef that meets evolving market requirements.
Quality and Consistency at the Heart of Our Offering
Throughout SIAL, conversations reinforced the importance of delivering consistent products backed by reliable supply and strong commercial relationships.
For Buitelaar Group, these principles are central to how we operate. Our established beef brands are supported by an integrated supply chain that brings together farming expertise, livestock sourcing, processing and customer relationships.
By maintaining close connections between farmers and customers, we can better understand the requirements of both, supporting product consistency while responding to changing commercial needs.
With more than 100 years of experience in the agricultural and meat industries, our approach continues to be shaped by the same principles: building trusted relationships, delivering on our commitments and taking a long-term view of the supply chain.
Regenerative Beef: Supporting Evolving Customer Requirements
Alongside our established beef offering, SIAL provided an opportunity to discuss the growing role of regenerative agriculture and independently verified production systems. Through Project Regen, Buitelaar Group is working with farmers and industry partners to support practical regenerative farming approaches, with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
Independent verification through Regenified provides an additional layer of assurance, helping to substantiate regenerative practices and progress.
For customers, this creates an opportunity to source beef supported by greater transparency around farming practices and independently verified regenerative outcomes. As sustainability requirements continue to evolve, we believe credible evidence, practical farming solutions and collaboration across the supply chain will be increasingly important. Our focus remains on connecting these developments with genuine customer requirements, ensuring that progress at farm level translates into meaningful value throughout the supply chain.
Looking Ahead
As we return from Paris, our focus turns to building on the conversations, connections and opportunities developed throughout the exhibition. The discussions at SIAL reinforced the importance of a connected, transparent and dependable beef supply chain, and the role that strong partnerships play in delivering for customers. We look forward to continuing these conversations and returning to SIAL Paris in 2028.
