"My journey at Buitelaar Group has been nothing short of dynamic. My decision to join the company as a graduate was always going to be an easy one. The group’s commercial and innovative approach to agriculture, pet food, meat and manufacturing sectors immediately caught my attention. As a fresh graduate, I was eager to work in an environment that would give me both a comprehensive understanding of the industry and allow me to experience different areas of the business. Buitelaar was able to provide me with that.

From day one, Buitelaar gave me support, extensive training, mentorship, and exposure to different parts of the business. The rotational structure allowed me to work across multiple departments. This varied from supply chain management, meat manufacturing, the pet food industry, and marketing. The diverse exposure I was provided with helped me develop a deep understanding of the agricultural sector and build my confidence in managing complex projects. The hands-on experience and support from my mentors has been invaluable in shaping my career and I am extremely grateful.

Opportunities

The opportunities Buitelaar has opened for me have been immense. Throughout my graduate programme, I have been fortunate to gain valuable skills in project management, data analysis, and operational strategy. This led to me being given the opportunity of working as a Commercial Assistant to Buitelaar Group’s Managing Director, where I assisted with various commercial projects across the business. Currently, I serve as a Key Account Manager within the Supply Chain business, collaborating with our Supply Chain partners and supporting our growth plans.

Highlights from My Time at Buitelaar

One of the standout moments during my time at Buitelaar, was visiting Prumpelstown Estate in Ireland, near our CEO Adam Buitelaar’s family home. The visit was part of a project to capture a video framing "Project Regen," where we got to see Longhorn cattle grazing. It was a memorable experience that highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in agriculture.

My time at Buitelaar has been incredibly enriching, and I am excited about the future opportunities it holds.
