Buitelaar Welcomes James Watson to the Commercial Team.

With the continual growth of the business, we’re thrilled to be continuously welcoming new faces to the team, including James, our newest member of the Commercial Team.

We caught up with James to see how he has found his time at Buitelaar so far.

It's hard to believe that it's only been six months since I became a part of the Buitelaar Team. The warmth, honesty, and dedication of everyone I've encountered at Buitelaar have made this transition feel seamless, almost as if I've been here for much longer than I have. It's a testament to the exceptional company culture that has been cultivated here.

Before joining Buitelaar, my background was in Law and Operations Management. I was then a retail vendor manager at a prominent ecommerce multinational corporation. While the experience was invaluable, stepping into the agricultural industry marked a pivotal turning point—one that I now regard as one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Since joining Buitelaar, my focus has been primarily centered around Research and Development, data analysis, and ensuring end-to-end data alignment. More recently, I've had the privilege of contributing to Buitelaar Group's overarching strategy on sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives—a critical focus area for the beef industry in today's rapidly evolving landscape.

The opportunity to delve into these areas has been rewarding, allowing me to not only apply my skills and knowledge but also to contribute to a cause that resonates with me. Sustainability and ESG considerations are paramount in shaping the future of our industry, and being able to play a role in driving these initiatives forward is very exciting.

As I reflect on my journey at Buitelaar so far, I am grateful for the experiences and opportunities that Buitelaar has provided me. Each day presents new challenges and learning opportunities, and I am eager to continue growing alongside this dynamic organisation.
