Buitelaar Offers Ample Career Opportunities Within a Variety of Roles
Having a great, hardworking team is one of our main priorities for us at Buitelaar. Therefore, role investment and training are high on our agenda in developing various important skill sets within the company.
Career development doesn’t only happen in educational institutions. The more we work, the more we realise our passion and discover the things that we’re good at. As such, we’re incredibly fortunate to have such a hardworking, passionate, and dedicated team at Buitelaar Group; everyone works above and beyond their day jobs and there’s huge value in that.

Following a BSc degree and an MA in Multimedia Journalism, the initial stages of my career started as an Editorial Assistant at British Horse magazine, followed by freelancing as a radio journalist at various Midlands-based radio stations, covering both urban and rural patches. As much as I enjoyed these opportunities, I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in the industry I’m passionate about, agriculture – give me rolling English hills over the bright lights of a big city any day! During my first 12 months at Buitelaar, I’ve been lucky enough to have been supported in further developing my skill set in digital marketing. Not only is this great learning development for me personally, but I’ll be able to put these skills into action as we move forward.
Business development and marketing truly excites me and there’s just something about working at Buitelaar that makes you want to get stuck into new challenges. We’re incredibly lucky to have a senior team at the Group that are so approachable and knowledgeable - it really makes a difference to the team morale and motivation.
One of the biggest career highlights so far is getting to work alongside a young, hardworking, and ambitious team. ‘Work hard play hard’ is definitely a mantra that Buitelaar lives by; being able to work professionally and then go out for a drink, or attend various awards nights with your team afterwards is so important and great for teambuilding. We are one big work family and that is hugely valuable to us all.
Having the opportunity to travel throughout the UK and the EU and work alongside the different teams in the group is also super exciting and proves just how dynamic and progressive the company is.
Day to day in the marketing department is pretty varied and includes everything from overall marketing strategy, online social discussion, gathering on-farm content and interviews, to taking photos of calves, trying to get the perfect shot! (They're generally very obliging models!).
I’m incredibly proud to be a part of the Buitelaar story and contribute to the exciting journey that we’re all on together.
We pride ourselves on the strong relationships built with select universities, onboarding new talent and offering numerous opportunities to candidates with varying backgrounds in agriculture.
As a company we’re expanding rapidly and offer roles in Marketing, Livestock Production, Commerical roles, placements and not forgetting our fantastic Graduate Schemes (2022/23), which we are currently accepting applications for.
