We are looking to recruit a Farm Administrator to join our team at Long Lane Development Farm, we are currently expanding our Exceptional facilities and require an enthusiastic individual to help us achieve the Farm and wider Groups potential.
The role of Wanstrow Farm Administrator
You will be able to adapt between greeting visitors and producing clear impactful information used to allow successful decision making. Long Lane balances as a commercial enterprise and a successful trials and development centre, as such it creates a dynamic and exciting working environment.
You will be a self-starter, a successful problem solver and someone who has excellent attention to detail. You will be working closely with your line manager on a day-to-day basis while having access to knowledge from the wider team.
A good understanding of Microsoft Software programmes Excel and word is essential while an understanding of BTb testing, recording cattle movements and preparing for annual Farm Audits would be desirable, training will of course be provided.
Long Lane Development farm is fast becoming a top industry recognised research centre collaborating with feed and pharmaceutical industry leaders to trial products in a commercial environment, this of course this makes for a varied and interesting working environment.
Responsibilities
· Work closely with their line manager on a day-to-day basis.
· Update BCMS with calf movements in and out
· Arrange License Applications with APHA for the movement of TB calves from farms.
· Update records using farm software package provided.
· Checking, and assisting with weighing, grading and sorting of calves.
· BCMS Management.
· On/off movements.
· Procedure timeline management.
· Management procedure adherence (vaccinations, TB testing, dehorning, castrations).
· Keep detailed records of Tb testing routines
