Due to an exciting development of new facilities, there is an opportunity to join the team at Ashgrove Farm. We are currently expanding the exceptional facilities and require an enthusiastic individual to help us achieve the farms potential. As part of our expansion we are delighted to be investing in technology which will enable us to create more opportunities for dedicated care and attention on the calves.
The Role of Calf Rearer
You will be able to adapt between daily routines whilst maintaining the highest standards. Daily routines include milk feeding/bedding and health checking. Previous livestock experience is essential for the role as is a good eye for calf health, training will of course be provided.
Responsibilities
- Milk feeding
- Health checking
- Operating a telehandler to dispense bedding
- Vaccinating
- Weighing cattle
- Assisting the Vet on routine Visits
