Reflecting on a Landmark Year: Buitelaar Group’s 2025 Highlights
As 2025 draws to a close, we’ve taken a moment to pause, reflect and appreciate what has been an extraordinary year across the Buitelaar Group. A year defined by meaningful partnerships, regenerative progress, innovation across our supply chain, and the continued dedication of our farmers, customers and colleagues.
From pioneering developments in animal health, to strengthening our processing capability, to championing regenerative agriculture on some of the industry’s biggest stages, 2025 has been a year of collaboration, momentum and measurable impact.
Championing Regenerative Agriculture on a National Stage
Regenerative agriculture has sat firmly at the centre of our work this year. At Groundswell 2025, we joined farmers, researchers and industry leaders to showcase the power of cattle integration in building healthier soils, improving biodiversity and unlocking more resilient farming systems. The conversations were honest, forward-looking and centred around creating sustainable futures for family farms, something that remains a cornerstone of our approach.
Across our Project Regen farms, we’ve captured deeper, more sophisticated data than ever before. From satellite biodiversity analysis to carbon baselining, and from bioacoustic monitoring to soil health benchmarking, 2025 has accelerated our ability to support farmers with measurable, evidence-based guidance. It has also strengthened our commitment to scaling regenerative practices across farms in the years ahead.
Innovation and Insight at Long Lane Development Farm
This year also saw a record-breaking turnout at Long Lane Development Farm, where we welcomed farmers, partners and specialists for a day of learning, collaboration and transparent discussion.
Long Lane Development Farm continues to be our hub for innovation from feed efficiency trials and reduced antibiotic usage, to environmental comparisons, colostrum management and the development of farmer-friendly tools like the ImmunIGy IgG test. Each advancement supports our goal of enhancing calf health, reducing inputs and improving performance while supporting farmers in delivering lower-impact beef systems.
Strengthening Our Supply Chain for Future Generations
One of the most defining moments of 2025 was the acquisition of 50% of Woolley Brothers Meat Processing. This partnership has enhanced our operational resilience, expanded our processing capability and strengthened our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality meat products to customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
This step reflects a long-term commitment to investing in British and Irish agriculture, supporting family farmers and ensuring a stable, trusted route to market for generations to come.
Celebrating Success Across Our Brands
Throughout 2025, we showcased the strength of our products and teams on the international stage:
