BUITELAAR LAUNCHES IRISH SUPPLY CHAIN AT THE NATIONAL PLOUGHING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN RATHENISKA
It’s been two weeks since the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska – an all-round fantastic time was had by our Irish team launching our newly developed Irish supply chain and opportunities.
The three-day event kicked off on Tuesday 20th September and was the first time since 2019 that visitors were able to attend, with crowds of around 277,000 in total.
The wet and the mud certainly didn’t dampen the team’s spirits with the stand being a hive of activity throughout the three day event.
New to the Irish market, our show-stopping mobile High Health Units proved to be exceptionally popular amongst the crowds, with many visitors stopping to learn more about the free-standing, modular buildings.
Over the years the High Health Units have been carefully engineered to provide the optimal calf environment. Having seen significant development and numerous prototypes, the units have undergone over 10 years of extensive trials and testing at our Development Farm in the UK.
The team received an overwhelming number of enquires for the various offerings available on stand. One of which being significant interest in our tried, trialled and tested milk powder products. Our Red, Blue and Yellow Bloom milk powder products are continually tested to ensure optimal calf health and performance in an ever fluctuating UK environment.
On day two, we were delighted to welcome a number of guests onto the stand to enjoy the highly anticipated Longhorn steak tasting session; it went down a real treat with a beer or two!
OUR LONGHORN BULL WAS THE ULTIMATE FEATURE ON STAND
Originally imported from the UK, our 18-month-old Longhorn bull was a true centre piece, attracting a huge amount of attention throughout the three days. This bull has since been placed on a dairy farm in Ireland to play his part in our growing Irish Longhorn Scheme.
We're proud to be a forward thinking supply chain bringing a variety of regenerative farming opportunities and a range of popular finishing contracts to Ireland. In particular, our Bed and Breakfast contracts have been a real hit with UK farmers, boasting complete simplicity, transparency and straight through pricing.
Farmers on the contract have also benefitted from:
- All year-round supply
- Weaned calves that are health checked and vaccinated
- On farm Tech Team support
- Full control over feed and management
- Haulage and processing fees covered
In what can be a financially volatile industry, we're proud to provide farmers with sustainable and profitable contracts for various farming set-ups in both the UK and Ireland.
