Buitelaar returns for a 2nd year at the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska
It's been two weeks since we wrapped up our second year at the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, and what an extraordinary few days it was! Our team hit the ground running, showcasing our revolutionary products whilst discussing the ever-growing opportunities available at Buitelaar.
The three-day extravaganza, which kicked off on Tuesday, September 20th, attracted a staggering total of over 200,000 attendees, making it the largest outdoor event within Europe.
Despite the relentless rain and mud, our team’s spirits remained undampened with the stand buzzing with activity throughout the event, becoming a hub for knowledge exchange and learning.
Innovative Calf Housing
Serving as a testament to our dedication to calf health and welfare, our popular High Health Units continued to draw attention following their successful launch at last year’s Ploughing Championships in Ireland.
Designed with over 50 years of calf rearing experience, the High Health Units were developed with the overriding aim to provide the optimum environment for calf health and well-being, helping to both reduce antibiotic use and increase daily live weight gains.
Our Prize-Winning Longhorn Heifer and Longhorn X Calves
This year, we were delighted to showcase the Longhorn Breed on stand with our prize-winning Heifer sired by Riverlands Oink and our show stopping Longhorn X Calves which are achieving above 1.0kg/day Daily Live Weight Gain and are expected to finish between 20-21 months. Capturing the attention of everyone who passed the stand, they stood as a true testament to the extraordinary breed that we have worked hard to help bring back to full statue over the past 5 years.
On the second day, we were delighted to invite guests to our stand for the much-anticipated Longhorn steak tasting session. It was a big hit, especially when paired with a refreshing beer or two!
