Ireland’s heartland has long been known as true cattle country, benefitting from the gulf stream climate and the infamous lashings of rain, that over the centuries, have shaped the luscious habitats our cattle graze on.

To achieve the exceptionally consistent texture and rounded depth of flavour our meat is renowned for, our Irish by Buitelaar farmers have nurtured their trade, aligning traditional farming systems, passed down the generations, with modern best practice. Under this careful management and diet, our beef animals are testament to the true, slow maturation rate that is widely sought after on the restaurant menu.

Tender, soft and juicy Irish by Buitelaar meat is sourced with the consumers’ needs in mind and hand selected as per customer requirement. To accommodate the specific needs of the catering butcher, available bone in or boneless, each cut is readily prepared and trimmed to tight specifications; dry aging is available on request.

The highly regarded beef can be found served both domestically and internationally at Michelin starred restaurants, high end retailers and prestigious hotels.
